For optimum photography results, it really helps if the residence is properly prepared prior to photo shoot.
Schedule at least 1.5 hours for the session.
On the exterior of the property:
- Put away or hide trashcans, recycle cans, gardening tools, etc.
- Clean up and store children's outside toys, bikes, scooters, etc.
- Remove pet toys and food and water bowls.
- Setup patio umbrellas and turn on pool and deck lights.
- Remove pool and spa covers. Turn on any fountains or water features
- Remove vehicles from driveway
On the interior:
- De-clutter the fireplace mantle, shelves, and counters.
- Take everything off the refrigerator, i.e. magnets, art projects, photos, etc.
- All shiny surfaces, i.e. counters, refrigerators, chrome, brass, should be clean.
- Hide valuables, or any items that show personal information such as notes or photographs.
- Turn on all lights and replace any burned out bulbs.
- Hide garbage containers, and recycle bins.
- If you have hardwood or high end flooring remove rugs to show them off.
- De-clutter your bathroom shower and counters
- The kitchen is critical in any home, so polish all appliances and clean off all counters leave nothing out if at all possible
- Remove all pet items including feed bowls and litter boxes.
- Clean all windows and mirrors.
- Pickup laundry, hang fresh towels in the bathroom, and vacuum all floors
Pets:
- Please place them in a safe area or in the garage.
